In case of valid PAN Card Verification, name of the PAN holder, last date of PAN update as per ITD database and its status must be existing and valid will be displayed. If there’s problem in verification or simply if pan is fake so the status will be shown as “Fake PAN”.

If there’s case in which the PAN is not found in database, the response will be “not in ITD database”. In such a case, if the user must provide a proof of the PAN (copy of PAN card or PAN allotment letter) to do PAN Verification to NSDL, so they will forward the same to ITD for investigation.
